Supervisor, Security Shift
Job Purpose:
The Security Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides
safety and protects all patrons, employees, and company assets. Supervise programs and processes to
reduce and control loss time injuries. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of gates, posts, and
patrols. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities. Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints and
compile data for accurate reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensures that all gates, posts, and patrols have the required manpower to perform the required duties
and he shall call the security individuals who have to work for additional hours in cases of need or
absence of one or more of other security men. Moreover, he shall ensure availability and readiness of
all security equipment and tools in the security gates and locations under his supervision.
- Supervise and plan the activities for his security shift team that is assigned to him including patrols by vehicles or on foot.
- Conduct regular walk-rounds of the site encompassing all security Officer to ensure that operations as
planned and escalate in accordance with company procedures any security concern.
- Evaluate the performance of security Officer to ensure that they conduct their duties in the best
possible way and reflect it in yearly employees’ performance.
- Implement all the security improvements assigned by Industrial Security Operation Department, in
order to provide benefit to the company’s assets, and employees.
- Investigate all accidents or security events during their shift time and generate reports with all required documents.
- Supervise and participates in security drills as well as fire fight drills as per his emergency response
role and attend and participate in critique meetings.
- Monitoring the hand-over/take-over, load/unload to the assigned weapon as per legal government
instructions and industrial security operation department operating procedures. Moreover, generate a report in case of loss or damage of the weapons. - Manage to maintain the security control protocol of Shipyard facilities and stockholder assets.
- Strongly manage technical security incident report with clear English conscience language and Arabic.
Key Skills: - Leadership and Supervision:
- Ability to lead and manage a team of security personnel effectively.
- Delegate responsibilities and ensure accountability within the team.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (and Arabic if required).
- Ability to communicate security protocols and procedures clearly to the team.
- Incident Investigation:
- Strong analytical skills for investigating incidents and compiling detailed reports.
- Ability to handle customer complaints and security concerns professionally.
- Safety and Risk Management:
- Knowledge of safety protocols and loss time injury prevention.
- Experience in planning and implementing security improvements.
- Patrol and Surveillance:
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial
Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or
Military/Civil/Police Experience equivalent.
- Diploma related program.
Professional Qualifications:
- Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) (Certification).
- Industrial Security Officer (ISO) (Certification).
- Related Public, Leadership and Management Certificate.
- Related Experience Certificate if Available.
Experience:
- Minimum 11-15 years related experience or equivalent for diploma
holder. - Minimum 3-9 years related experience or equivalent for bachelor
holder.
Languages: Excellent Communication Skills in English (oral & written).

Your future role
The role holder is responsible for Undertaking management and execution of projects and initiatives identified
by the Shipbuilding Planning & Control Function to drive timely completion. This includes managing all phases
of execution including scope of work definition, timely completion of milestones, identification and mitigation of
risks, periodic quality monitoring and successful handover of project outputs to relevant stakeholders upon
completion
Key responsibilities
- Assist in defining the project management methodology and framework under the guidance of the
Manager, Program Management & Planning - Plan, execute, and monitor ship production projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement,
manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution. - Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve issues that may impact
project timelines and objectives. - Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates to
stakeholders. - Assist in managing ship production contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with terms,
conditions, and specifications. - Monitor contract deliverables, milestones, and obligations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contractual requirements.
- Assist in managing address contract-related issues, claims, and disputes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and correspondence.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
- Monitor project costs and variances, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct cost analysis, evaluate cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies to optimize
project expenditures. - Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and financial analysis.
- Participated in project cost audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and insights.
