The school is seeking to appoint a qualified Arabic teacher to join at PSI with experience teaching in the British system. Candidates from the UK seeking their first overseas position or international teachers with experience of a British curriculum are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be required to do the IBDP training at the appropriate time in the future as well as play a vital role in the planning and implementation of the Diploma Programme.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Teaching Experience in the British System:
- The candidate should have experience teaching within the British educational system, which could include teaching GCSEs, A-Levels, or other British qualifications. Experience with the British curriculum will be a significant asset.
- Arabic Language Proficiency:
- Strong proficiency in Arabic (both written and spoken) is essential for teaching the language at various levels. This includes an ability to explain complex concepts and cultural contexts related to the language.
- International Experience:
- While not explicitly required, experience in an international school setting, or a willingness to relocate internationally, is highly desirable. The role encourages candidates from the UK or those with previous international teaching experience.
- Adaptability to the IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme):
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo IBDP training in the future. This means the teacher should be open to professional development and acquiring the necessary qualifications and knowledge to teach within the IBDP framework.
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation:

- BA in Education or BA Degree with PGCE
- Experience teaching the English National Curriculum

This is the second Pearling Season International School to be opened; the two form entry school in Al-Mansoura opened its doors in 2014 and is now a fast growing institution with over 550 students. - Organizational and Administrative Skills:
