Alfardan
We are looking for an experienced Waitress/Waiter to join our high-end International Restaurants at Alfardan Hospitality.
Main Responsibilities includes:
- To accurately take food and beverage orders, efficiently serve food and beverages to customers and attend to customers’ needs
- Greet customers politely as they enter the restaurant
- Introducing self to customers
- Show and assist customers with their tables
- Present menus to customers, explain the menu items in terms of preparation, ingredients and presentation
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the menu items and daily specials
- Be aware of allergy information on menu items
- Be able to answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu
- Offering food and beverages suggestions
- Inform customers of special items not listed on the menu
- Serve food or beverages to customers and prepare specialty beverages at tables as required.
- Check food orders with customers to ensure correctness
- Input the order into POS System, handle cash, credit or check transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Serve food or beverages to customers and prepare specialty beverages at tables as required.
- Speak and interact with both new and regular customers
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
- Make sales referrals, cross-selling products and introduce new ones, Upsell food and beverage items throughout the meal
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.
- Stock serving stations or bar areas with food and beverage supplies
- Write patrons’ food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
- Communicate dining or order details to kitchen personnel.
- Work with bartenders to fill beverage orders
- Work with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders
- Pre-set table for the orders
- Use established food handling and serving techniques
- Ensure customers are satisfied with their food orders, beverages and service
- Monitor customer’s needs and promptly handle requests
- Handle customer complaints in a polite and professional manner
- Maintain the table setting by clearing courses as completed, replacing utensils, refreshing water glasses, dealing with spills
- Prepare and provide customers with accurate check for the meal
- Prepare to-go boxes for customers, if required
- Re-set and prepare table for customers including decorations, condiments, napkins, utensils
- Maintain a clean and organized service area
- Dispose of trash according to established procedures
- Perform any side-work as requested
- Comply with safety, health and hygiene policies and procedures
Skills
Minimum Requirement:
- At least 2 to 4 years of experience in restaurants or full-service hotel
- Good communication skill
- Hospitality Diploma or similar discipline
