General Duties of a Driver:
- Safe Transportation:
- Transport passengers or goods safely to their destinations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform regular checks on the vehicle (oil, water, brakes, lights, tire pressure).
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Time Management:
- Maintain punctuality for pick-ups and drop-offs.
- Plan routes effectively to avoid delays due to traffic or road conditions.
- Record Keeping:
- Log mileage, fuel usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Maintain delivery or travel logs if required.
- Customer Service:
- Assist passengers or clients with loading/unloading items if needed.
- Communicate politely and professionally.
- Safety & Security:
- Ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.
- Keep the vehicle secure and follow company safety protocols.
- Compliance:
- Carry a valid driving license and any required permits.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Other Duties (if required):
- Assist with errands, office tasks, or deliveries.
- Follow instructions from supervisors or employers.
Job Description
- Responsible for transporting in an effective and safe manner
- Responsible in maintaining a variety of records, such as time at each stop, purpose of trip, number of passengers, mileage and vehicle maintenance
- Completes a thorough vehicle maintenance inspection prior to vehicle operation
