Engineer – Project Management

Your future role

The role holder is responsible for Undertaking management and execution of projects and initiatives identified

by the Shipbuilding Planning & Control Function to drive timely completion. This includes managing all phases

of execution including scope of work definition, timely completion of milestones, identification and mitigation of

risks, periodic quality monitoring and successful handover of project outputs to relevant stakeholders upon

completion

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining the project management methodology and framework under the guidance of the

Manager, Program Management & Planning

• Plan, execute, and monitor ship production projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence

to project scope, schedule, and quality standards.

• Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, milestones, and deliverables.

• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement,

manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and resolve issues that may impact

project timelines and objectives.

• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular updates to

stakeholders.

• Assist in managing ship production contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with terms,

conditions, and specifications.

• Monitor contract deliverables, milestones, and obligations, ensuring timely completion and adherence

to contractual requirements.

• Assist in managing address contract-related issues, claims, and disputes in collaboration with relevant

stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and correspondence.

• Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.

• Monitor project costs and variances, identifying areas of concern and implementing corrective actions

as needed.

• Conduct cost analysis, evaluate cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategies to optimize

project expenditures.

• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and financial analysis.

• Participated in project cost audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation and insights.

• Perform day to day activities related to Project Management and the team while coordinating with other

functions within IMI in order to ensure that the ongoing projects are properly promoted, communicated,

and executed.

• Manage the approval process for change requests which have impact on program scope, schedule

and/or budget

• Provide input on appropriate cost-effective methods to enhance or replace current processes, thereby

optimizing ship production’s project life cycle cost and operability.

Who we are looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, businessadministration, or equivalent. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • MOS (Microsoft office specialist.)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional.)
  • Fresh Graduate or 0-3 years of experience in relevant field.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading) & Arabic.

Operational Safety Supervisor

Who we are looking for:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree BSc in Safety or relevant discipline. 

Experience:

12/+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably has shipyard experience

  • Attained or working towards obtaining the NEBOSH International General Certificate or Diploma.
  • OPITO Gas Inspector
  • Attained or working towards obtaining Graduate IOSH membership level.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

  • Knowledge of KSA regulations and relevant international standards EPIC and Maritime operations.
  • Knowledge of applicable local and international regulations, standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the requirements of international standards such as ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015.
  • Possess working knowledge or undergone training in incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis, Bow-Tie, 5 Whys.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Competent understanding and communication of IMI management systems and their implementation in respect to industrial/maritime yards and project operations.
  • Skills in the identification of underlying trends in OH&SE performance in order to propose initiatives for OH&SE continual improvement.
  • Probability and decision-making skills, Stress management skills.
  • Ability to communicate with site management team, clients and other parties, peers and workforce.

  • English. (Mandatory)
  • Arabic / Others ( desirable)
