1) Producer – The Stream
Department: Al Jazeera English – Programmes
Location: Doha, Qatar
Role Overview
Al Jazeera English is seeking a highly driven and experienced Producer to join The Stream. The successful candidate will take individual episodes from pitch to live broadcast, building compelling rundowns, integrating video and social media content, and overseeing guest selection and live production.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate, research, and pitch show topics and social media content
- Write scripts and construct detailed show rundowns
- Organize and manage production of daily recorded or live programmes
- Oversee guest selection and social media integration during broadcast
- Lead the production team in the control room during live transmission
- Supervise post-production editing for repeat broadcasts
- Proofread and ensure accuracy of digital/web content
- Coach and mentor Associate Producers, Researchers, and Interns
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Media, Communication, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Producer on factual or current affairs programmes
- Strong control room experience and leadership capability
- Excellent writing, editorial, and communication skills
- Deep understanding of global news and current affairs
- Up-to-date knowledge of documentary and magazine programming
- Knowledge of Ofcom regulations and broadcast legal frameworks
- Additional language skills are an advantage
- Basic understanding of camera work, lighting, field operations, and media asset management is desirable
2) Administration Professional
Location: Qatar
Role Overview
Al Jazeera Media Network is seeking an experienced Administration Professional to oversee operational and administrative functions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and continuous support to editorial and news teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operational matters including IT, HR, and premises management
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the News and Editorial teams
- Maintain and manage bureau infrastructure and governance standards
- Ensure compliance with local laws and Al Jazeera policies
- Coordinate with banks, legal advisors, insurance brokers, and IT providers
- Oversee procurement processes and approvals in line with TOFA
- Manage risk, contingency planning, and disaster recovery procedures
- Supervise contractors (cleaning, security, maintenance)
- Coordinate equipment shipping and required documentation
- Maintain accurate filing and administrative tracking systems
- Arrange business travel and meeting logistics
- Prepare financial and management reports for regional leadership
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid QID / Residency Permit
- Bilingual (Arabic & English)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Administration or related field
3) Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract
Location: Qatar
Role Overview
The Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer is responsible for design review, project supervision, and heavy maintenance works related to electrical and power systems in compliance with KAHRAMAA regulations and all relevant codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical design drawings, BOQs, and specifications
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, transformers, generators, and UPS systems
- Review Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Lightning Protection, Public Address, and Earthing systems
- Evaluate technical and financial project proposals
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and project schedules
- Supervise electrical installations and site execution works
- Monitor preliminary and final project testing and commissioning
- Coordinate with KAHRAMAA, Civil Defense, and relevant stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections and manage punch lists until closure
- Participate in tender evaluation and contractor selection processes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge of local regulations and engineering codes
- Proven experience in large-scale projects and maintenance operations
