Job Title

Medical Secretary


Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule outpatient and inpatient appointments for various clinical procedures.
  • Prepare daily procedure lists, ensure patient files and records are available, and generate medicom labels.
  • Update inpatient consultation lists for doctors’ daily rounds.
  • Prepare daily and monthly census reports based on procedure type, inpatient/outpatient status, nationality, and gender.
  • Prepare and update on-call schedules for consultants, specialists, residents, and nurses on the intranet.
  • Draft, prepare, and dispatch internal and external correspondence and memos.
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence, and relay messages to physicians.
  • Provide accurate information to patients and their relatives.
  • File and maintain medical and administrative records in compliance with JCI standards.
  • Prepare electronic timesheets and leave schedules for doctors and technicians.
  • Monitor stationery and accessory supplies and submit purchase requests as required.
  • Transcribe medical dictations and prepare medical reports.
  • Prepare clinical and administrative correspondence.
  • Update physicians on patients’ laboratory results using THERP.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Higher Secondary Education
  • Diploma in Secretarial Administration, Computer Applications, or equivalent

Experience

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Medical Secretary

Computer Skills

  • Advanced computer and data-entry skills

Certifications

  • English training courses in medical terminology (preferred)

Language Skills

  • English: Intermediate (Essential)
  • Arabic: Basic (Preferred)
