📝 Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to support our hypermarket operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining critical data related to inventory, pricing, suppliers, and sales transactions to ensure smooth daily operations and stock accuracy.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in retail, supermarkets, warehouses, or inventory control environments.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Enter and update product details, pricing, barcodes, and inventory data into the system
• Maintain records for purchase orders (PO), Goods Received Notes (GRN), stock adjustments, and sales
• Verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies between system and physical stock
• Coordinate with store staff, warehouse teams, and accounts departments
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and sales reports
• Monitor stock movement, shortages, and excess inventory
• Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with company procedures
• Support audits, stock counts, and system updates
💻 Required Skills & Competencies
✔ Fast and accurate typing and data entry skills
✔ Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (data entry, sorting, basic formulas)
✔ Good understanding of inventory and retail systems
✔ High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
✔ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
✔ Good communication and coordination skills
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
• High School Certificate (Diploma or Degree preferred)
• 1–3 years of experience in data entry, retail administration, or inventory control
• Experience using ERP, POS, or inventory management systems is a strong advantage
• Prior experience in hypermarkets, supermarkets, or warehouses is highly preferred
