Classroom Assistant (KG, Pre-K, and Primary Levels)
📌 General Description:
This position is responsible for creating a safe and productive learning environment by maintaining discipline in the classroom, assisting with student guidance and support, and fostering an atmosphere of fairness and inclusivity for students in kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, and primary grades.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in implementing both classroom and extracurricular activities, including educational field trips.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher to understand your role and how to contribute to the execution of lesson plans.
- Supervise student groups during the application of various instructional strategies.
- Utilize both intrinsic and extrinsic motivational techniques to encourage student engagement and learning.
- Assist the teacher in managing and correcting negative student behaviors in a constructive manner.
- Conduct substitute teaching sessions as needed, focusing on enhancing student learning under the guidance of the designated substitute teacher, and only within the assigned classroom.
- Perform administrative duties related to classroom instruction, including:
- Monitoring student attendance
- Ensuring students bring necessary learning materials
- Communicating with parents or guardians as required
- Ensure all students are equipped with the necessary learning resources (main and supplementary textbooks, notebooks, etc.)
- Participate in preparing age-appropriate instructional aids and educational materials
- Help in organizing and showcasing student work, updating displays regularly.
- Perform any other related duties assigned within the scope of the job.
