As a Senior Technical Engineer-Active Directory in the DevOps and Automation team you will design and support IT solutions for the EK Group while working as part of a design and Support team. Additionally, you will design, develop, support, and deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for both Business and IT led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, configuration, deployment, business case development and Approval. On top of that you will also support, contribute and ensure solution compliance to the enterprise architecture, production processes, QMS and other EG-IT standards as well as to support, contribute and ensure development of the roadmap of the concerned technology roadmap aligning with IT strategy.
In This Role You Will
- Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance to EG-IT dealing within the technology area and act as lead technical member in the Project team delivering the work packages assigned.
- Develop IT Solutions that meet customer requirements and ensure that the design is robust, appropriate and of high quality and conforming to corporate standards and in line with the technical strategy.
- Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets the service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance and reliability.
- Foster the development of high performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.
- Develop Solution architectures for assigned projects with established EA standards and also to support in the development of technology advancements and adaptation of new technologies.
- Collaborate with other IT Technology Teams to implement ongoing monitoring of the relevant technology to ensure severity 1 & 2 Incidents are configured within EMS.
- Provide guidance to Project managers / Technology Team Managers for solution definition, technical design and development of in house developed solutions which are to be delivered as per agreed costs and timescales to meet signed off functional, technical and process requirements.
- Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within the agreed Service Levels and problems are defined and analysed in line with the Problem Management Process.
- Publish and maintain high quality documentation for technology area by working within the standard templates and documentation guidelines which includes detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals and deployment architecture.
- Manage “End of Life” replacement of equipment and/or software within the technology area to ensure conformance to technical standards and support the Technology initiatives and directions.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
Minimum of 8+ years experience in Information Technology and Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Information Technology
Skills and Knowledge Areas
- ITIL and Agile Frameworks
- Proficient in ITIL best practices for IT service management.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies for project management and development.
- Active Directory Expertise
- Expert in deploying, supporting, and managing Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), and Azure AD Connect.
- Advanced skills in troubleshooting and resolving complex AD and Azure AD issues, including Kerberos authentication, Trusts, AD Backup and Restore, and Domain upgrades.
- Windows Server Management
- Hands-on experience with deploying, supporting, and managing Windows Server operating systems.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory policies and security configurations.
- Advanced Troubleshooting Skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Active Directory and Azure AD, including SAML, SSO configuration, provisioning, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), identity governance, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Scripting and Automation
- Proficient in scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and infrastructure automation techniques (Infrastructure-as-Code) to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Audit Compliance Experience
- Experience working on audit compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS and PWC audits, ensuring adherence to security and operational standards.
- Virtualization Knowledge
- Working knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, including design and management of virtual environments.
- Application Design and Maintenance
- Experience in designing and maintaining production-grade applications in distributed, virtualized, or containerized environments.
- Networking Fundamentals
- Basic knowledge and experience with DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and network configurations.
- Office 365 and ServiceNow
- Familiarity with Office 365 environments and the ServiceNow platform for IT service management.
- Cloud Computing Experience
- Experience working with public cloud services, particularly Azure and AWS, focusing on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Azure Active Directory integration.

II. Back-office Role
Contact Centre Services Agent
As a Contact Centre Service Agent, you will have the important role of being the voice of Emirates, providing our valued customers with accurate and up-to-date information about our products and services. We are seeking a skilled professional to provide exceptional customer service by promptly and accurately responding to inquiries either through various digital communication channels, such as chat and social media platforms or through voice support. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our customers feel valued and supported throughout their journey.
Job Specific Requirements For Back-office Roles
- Proficiency in English and at least one of the following languages is a must-have requirement for this position: Arabic, Czech, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean.
- Customer and sales focus to provide excellent service and close any sales opportunity.
- The ability to type accurately and quickly while maintaining excellent written communication is an essential requirement for the messaging-based role.
