Storekeeper cum Purchase Assistant – Medical Center
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper cum Purchase Assistant to join our medical center team. This vital role ensures the efficient management of medical inventory and procurement processes, supporting the uninterrupted availability of essential medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment required for high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory control, coordinating purchasing activities, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare storage and safety standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency across clinical and administrative departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records for medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate purchasing activities, including supplier communication, order placement, and delivery tracking.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and quality standards.
- Ensure proper storage conditions in line with medical and safety regulations.
- Maintain organized store areas and implement effective stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Prepare inventory and procurement reports for management review.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to forecast supply needs.
- Support cost control by tracking usage patterns and minimizing waste.
- Utilize inventory management systems and Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing, Nursing Assistant Certificate, or Certificate in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred).
- Fresher or minimum 1 year of experience in storekeeping, inventory, or purchasing within a healthcare or medical environment.
- Experience using inventory management systems or stock control software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Tagalog-speaking male candidates are preferred.
