We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, staff, and property. As a Security Guard, you will be entrusted with maintaining a secure environment, preventing unauthorized access, and handling any security-related incidents with professionalism and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a security guard, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm and composed in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Physically fit with the ability to perform routine patrols.
- Basic first aid and emergency response knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent; security certification is a plus.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

- Competitive salary: 1,500 QAR/month + FAT (Food/Transport Allowance).

1. Patrolling and Monitoring
- Routine Patrolling: Perform regular patrols of the premises, both on foot and by vehicle, to monitor and prevent unauthorized access, theft, or damage.
- Surveillance: Use security cameras (CCTV) to monitor activity in and around the facility. Identify suspicious behavior or potential security breaches.
- Monitoring Access Points: Ensure that all entry and exit points are properly secured and monitor visitors, employees, or contractors entering the premises.
- Checking Security Systems: Regularly inspect alarm systems, fire exits, and surveillance equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly.
2. Preventing Crime
- Deterring Criminal Activity: Act as a visible deterrent to criminal activity by maintaining a professional presence and adhering to the company’s security protocols.
- Crowd Control: Manage and control crowds during events or high-traffic periods to prevent disturbances or conflicts.
- Investigating Suspicious Activity: Identify and investigate unusual behavior or security breaches. Alert appropriate authorities if necessary.
3. Responding to Incidents
- Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, such as fire outbreaks, medical emergencies, or suspicious activities. Follow procedures to manage the situation until help arrives.
- First Aid Assistance: In some cases, security guards may be trained to provide first aid in emergencies until medical professionals arrive.
- Reporting Incidents: Document and report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches that occur during a shift, detailing actions taken.
4. Controlling Access
- Checking ID and Credentials: Verify the identity of individuals entering the premises. This may include checking employee badges, visitor passes, and other identification.
- Issuing Passes: Provide access passes or permits to authorized personnel and monitor their entry and exit to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Gatekeeping: Monitor vehicle traffic at entrances and exits, checking for any unauthorized vehicles, and ensuring that no dangerous items are being brought into the premises.
5. Monitoring Alarm Systems
- Activating/Deactivating Alarms: Ensure that alarm systems are armed and disarmed at appropriate times. Respond promptly to any alarm triggers.
- Alarm Response: In case of an alarm, assess the situation, determine the cause, and take appropriate action (e.g., contacting law enforcement or emergency services if necessary).
6. Reporting and Documentation
- Incident Reports: Complete daily activity logs, detailing security patrols, incidents, or irregularities, ensuring that all security-related events are recorded accurately.
- Reporting Suspicious Behavior: Immediately report any suspicious or criminal activity to the supervisor, management, or law enforcement.
- Maintaining Logs: Keep records of visitor access, deliveries, and any other movements or activities that require documentation.
7. Customer Service and Communication
- Assisting Visitors: Help guide visitors, employees, or contractors when needed, providing directions or assistance in a friendly and professional manner.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication with colleagues, supervisors, and emergency responders through radios, telephones, or other communication systems.
- Customer Interaction: In some cases, security guards may interact with customers or guests, offering assistance and ensuring their safety while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
8. Handling Conflicts
- Dealing with Disputes: Mediate conflicts or disputes between individuals on the premises in a calm and professional manner. In some cases, this may involve removing disruptive individuals or calling law enforcement.
- Escorting Individuals: Escort individuals off the premises who may be causing a disturbance or are not authorized to be in a certain area.
9. Enforcing Policies and Procedures
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure that employees, visitors, and contractors adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
- Safety Standards: Maintain compliance with workplace safety regulations, including fire drills, emergency evacuations, and health & safety protocols.
- Preventing Property Damage: Ensure that the property, equipment, and assets are not damaged, vandalized, or stolen by monitoring both internal and external areas.
10. Securing Perimeter and Property
- Locking and Unlocking Doors: Ensure doors, windows, gates, and other access points are properly locked or unlocked at the start and end of each shift or according to schedule.
- Securing Assets: Perform checks to ensure the security of valuable equipment, inventory, or assets, especially during non-operating hours.
