Transport Operations Dispatcher (Vehicle & Driver Dispatcher)
About the Role
The role is responsible for the controlled operation of vehicle and driver dispatching, as well as providing marshalling support at designated vehicle staging areas, in support of Qatar Airways Group transportation operations. The position ensures smooth, efficient, and high-quality transportation services at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
- Deliver high-quality internal and external customer service through face-to-face interaction, email, and telephone communication.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and communicate inspection results to third-party logistics (3PL) service providers and departmental management.
- Provide marshalling support at vehicle staging areas.
- Act as a single point of contact for drivers and department management.
- Provide real-time solutions to minor operational issues during shifts.
- Maintain frequent communication with management regarding fleet and driver status to ensure continuous service quality.
- Report operational obstacles, poor driver performance, and challenges to the Shift Officer or Lead Transport Officer.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of all data entry and daily dispatch operation reports.
- Fully understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to Transportation Operations.
- Propose continuous improvement initiatives whenever possible.
- Support on-the-job training for new team members as required.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of service management principles, organizational planning and administration, capital project management, and contract management practices.
Job-Specific Skills
Essential
- Previous experience as a Bus Dispatcher, Taxi Dispatcher, or Limo Dispatcher.
- Knowledge of urban bus and/or taxi dispatching models.
- Strong computer proficiency and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Experience with automated fleet and/or transportation management systems.
- Experience in passenger transportation support services.
Preferred
- Previous experience working within the GCC region.
- Experience in the aviation industry.
- Experience managing fleets of more than 100 vehicles.
- Good knowledge of Doha roads and routes.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic.
