A leading energy company is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer specialising in middleware to lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-scale integration solutions. This role involves working with both on-premise and cloud platforms to drive integration projects that align with corporate IT strategy and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage middleware strategies and integration processes, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Evaluate and implement modern integration technologies, focusing on Enterprise Service Bus, messaging, and application integration.
  • Lead the design and deployment of middleware solutions in collaboration with business and ICT teams.
  • Oversee middleware-related projects, managing resources and budgets to ensure timely, quality outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance on middleware architecture, system security, and compliance.
  • Maintain documentation for integration processes, supporting a standardised approach across ICT.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in BizTalk Server development (schemas, pipelines, orchestrations).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based services like Azure Logic Apps and App Services.
  • Proficiency in .Net, REST, SOAP, Web APIs, XML, and SSL configurations.
  • Experience in containerised deployments and cloud integration.

Job Mission:

  • Lead and coordinate all the activities necessary to purchase goods and/or services/subcontracts carried out by buyers
  • Issue purchase orders/subcontracts within the assignment power of attorney, if any, or coordinate the process and related workflow up to the Purchase Order signature by the deputed person
  • Report to the Procurement function about the activities of the assigned team of buyers

Job Tasks:

  • Assign purchasing request to a specified buyer to start up the procurement process
  • Define/approve the bidder list taking into account project and operating requirements, market knowledge and other possible internal needs
  • App rove the Request for Quotations prepared by buyers
  • Check and/or approve the commercial/economic tabulation to compare different proposals prepared by buyers
  • Supervise the commercial/economic negotiation
  • Check and/or approve the purchase order/subcontract prepared by buyers
  • Support and coordinate the buyers in performing day by day activities
  • Promote the market knowledge/scouting
